I am (slowly) making a game, right?
And it's (hopefully) gonna play like Deltarune, Omori, Earthbound, other RPGs of the like. But the story is gonna be almost entirely based on a 2E AD&D campaign me and my friends have been in for the last 3 years. I've got a lot of plans, but I hope to cover just the first part of the campaign (Like the first 8 months in real time) in this game. If I can muster the energy and time, I hope to make at least four more games to catch us up to the present.
I'm really just following a guide on youtube on how to use GameMakerStudio, and their Discord server is super helpful too.
My goal is to:
- Make something that my friends will be proud to have been a part of making.
- Make something people will enjoy in both a nostalgic, but also new and refreshing sense.
- Make something I actually like.
And that last one, is more of a personal thing, as I typically look at most of my creations with great disgust and dissappointment. But I think this will be different. And who knows, maybe I can even make a dollar or two off of this.
Idk, wish me luck.
